Who is responsible

ToothNotation (toothnotation.com) is operated by Implantarea, which acts as the controller / responsible entity for personal data processed through this site. Contact: contact@toothnotation.com.

What this site processes

The notation decoder runs entirely in your browser. The expressions you type are not transmitted to us, stored, or logged. There is no account and nothing to sign in to.

Contact form and email. The form requires your name, email address and message. Professional role, practice or school, and consent to occasional update emails are optional. We also record the site, page path, language, form type, consent version and state, submission time, and any campaign or referrer values already present in your browser. We process these to reply and to keep an operational record for as long as reasonably needed. Marketing consent is separate, optional and never pre-selected. If you email directly, we process what is in that correspondence.

Please do not send patient-identifiable or other sensitive clinical information. This site is not intended to receive it, and any such data received will be deleted.

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not retain your full IP address by default, and we do not use device fingerprinting. We do not build profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, and it is blocked until you consent. Nothing Google-related is requested until you choose Allow analytics; declining loads nothing and sets nothing. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled on this property and IP addresses are anonymised. Measurement covers aggregate usage only — pages viewed, and whether the decoder returned a result, a two-reading result, or none. The expressions you type are never transmitted, enforced in code by an event and parameter allowlist. Cookie names and lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.

Our host also collects cookieless, aggregate page-performance data that does not identify you.

Processors and hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. If you submit the contact form, it is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (bot verification) and the submission is stored in a database operated by us on Cloudflare infrastructure, then forwarded to our contact inbox by email. These providers process data on our instructions.

Legal bases

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: our legitimate interest in operating and securing a professional reference site and in responding to correspondence; your consent for optional update emails and for any future nonessential analytics; and compliance with legal obligations where relevant.

Retention

Contact submissions are kept while they are operationally relevant and then deleted. Consent records are kept for as long as needed to evidence the consent.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, write to contact@toothnotation.com.

Changes

We update this policy when the site's processing changes, and revise the date above.
